Open space, large house lots, and a high degree of volunteerism characterize Sherborn. It is an active, outdoor-oriented town with swimming and boating at Farm Pond, the trustees of Reservations Rocky Narrows property along the Charles River, and the adjacent Sherwood Town Forest. Townspeople have created a remarkable Daffodil trail through town, planting over 185,000 bulbs to create flowered paths.
The contemporary library celebrates its 40th birthday in 2011 and will soon undergo renovation. Sherborn is home to The Peace Abbey, a multi-faith retreat center.
The Commute from Sherborn
Public transportation to Boston is available from nearby Wellesley. You are a few miles from Routes 9, 90, and 128 for commuting. Winding through Sherborn and South Natick, route 16 is also an option into the city or other major routes.
